some more tidbits from the show that i remember in no particular order.
as soon as entering the place the stage was behind against the outside wall.
the opening band had two drummers going on opposite sides of the stage
corin wore something resembling a sports jersey. the number 36 was printed on both sides. with the name bettis sewed on back.
carrie played a green sg non small pickguard. it had a bigbsy tremolo and a bullseye sticker.
there were three amps on stage. an orange, a music man a sunn.
janet’s bass drum had a drawing of a horse’s head on it.
at one point carrie was rocking so hard she slipped on her behind.
she said it was like a sauna in there. the venue didnt have towels so the band wiped their foreheads with paper napkins.
they decided to play a slow song to get carrie’s heartbeat back to normal.
janet was hard at work behind the drumset. her hair was fixed sideways from a blowing fan.
they said that they enjoying playing a loose show. because it allowed them to get ready for a tight set the next night.
i got the feeling that it was important for them to be as ready as possible for the next night. because they wanted to do good at madison square garden.
